THE WORLD WITHOUT ART IS JUST EH...
Lori Bernardo spent a life studying and teaching physics and math, art was not in the cards. But one never knows and knowing she could learn, art drifted by and she jumped. No one had been or was in her sphere did "ART." She has always had a creative streak in her. She often visits galleries and makes notes of paintings she likes. She often gets lost in a painting that leaves her breathless or stirs her imagination providing fun to highly charged political to personal feelings that she conjures an image to paint.
Art has always been a way to document history and provide a canvas to display important history or to provide a beautiful relic from a time gone by. And she demands honest history.
Her art is one of the most exciting and challenging legacy of her life. From capturing a still life of calm, Peonies and a Rose, Lavender and Peaches, to playing off history that she remembers well, ie Old Stories, Winters Plein Aire painting of a path and caldron to Take a Walk with Me. One of her joys is to stumble on something a bit different to paint.
